Feeding your dog raw meaty bones will remove plaque and strengthen gums. Raw bones have a natural occurring enzyme which softens the plaque, which will chip off during the chewing process.
Of course, a dog with a bone is just good fun but is also good for distracting a dog when humans need a break!
My raw meaty bones are from local farmers, grass fed, GMO free.
Introduce raw bones slowly, especially if your dog is not on a raw diet already. I give my dogs a bone several times a week. I allow them to chew in their crates or designated area that I can clean up easily. After about 20 minutes I freeze the bone and re-gift. I only do that a few times and then start with a fresh bone.
