Meat Jerky

This is one of the original tabs from my site so you can link to it. The title has changed several times… all should be Natural Jerky Treats. Thanks!

CBD

According to scientists, cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid receptors located in the central and peripheral nervous systems. These systems maintain balance in the body creating a normal healthy state. Although it is not scientifically proven, many dog owners have found CBD to benefit with pain (specifically neuropathic pain), anxiety, helping to control seizures, and has possible anti-cancer benefits. Prime Sunshine is my provider of choice for several reasons; the owner is a local businesswoman, they use CO2 extraction process, it is 100% natural, they use no additives, and the CBD is lab tested.

Bone Broth

Bone Broth is a natural supplement for ligaments, tendons, and bones. A natural glucosamine replacement that can bypass digestion and go directly to the joints. My Bone Broth, both Lamb and Beef, is made from local grass-fed livestock. I boil down knuckle bones, remove the fat, and freeze the gelatin in small baby food trays. Thaw in the refrigerator to use over a three-day period.

Raw Meaty Bones

Feeding your dog raw meaty bones will remove plaque and strengthen gums. Raw bones have a natural occurring enzyme which softens the plaque, which will chip off during the chewing process. Of course, a dog with a bone is just good fun but is also good for distracting a dog when humans need a break! My raw meaty bones are from local farmers, grass fed, GMO free. Introduce raw bones slowly, especially if your dog is not on a raw diet already. I give my dogs a bone several times a week. I allow them to chew in their crates or designated area that I can clean up easily. After about 20 minutes I freeze the bone and regift. I only do that a few times and then start with a fresh bone.

Honey

Raw Honey has many health benefits for dogs; Vitamins C, A, and Beta Carotene to name a few. Honey also has antibacterial/antimicrobial properties. If your dog suffers external allergies, adding small doses of local raw honey as a supplement could help prevent or reduce full-blown attacks when the season hits. Local is the key. My source is Rick Cousins, author of the book The Urban Beekeeper, located on Sharon Lane in Charlotte. As a Canine Nutritionists and manufacturer of local raw dog food my objective has always been to keep carbohydrates to a minimum. In the case of allergies, the benefits of raw honey outweigh the negative results of a few carbohydrates added to a natural low carbohydrate diet
Our Pugs!
Our pugs began having anal gland issues as they grew older. We thought we were feeding them the best food but it turns out that wasn’t the case…enter Complete Canine Companion! After a very scary anal gland incident we started researching food options and determined it was time to switch to a raw diet. We met Linda at the Farmers Market and took home a sample of the beef and it was the best decision we ever made! Neither of our pugs have had any further anal gland issues and they are both happy and healthy little boys!! Their coats are so soft and shiny and most people don’t believe me when I tell them they are 5 and 8. They both love CCC and do a happy dance for every meal! As an added bonus the pizzle sticks are great for healthy teeth and gums and our pugs LOVE them! Also because our boys have done so well on CCC our new puppy was started on it immediately to ensure she gets the best nutrition possible for her to grow up healthy and happy! And pizzle sticks are a great substitute for fingers and toes!! Michelle Lucas
